Hiring Process


Consultants submit their resumes and portfolios via our website.

Internal Interview

The MindSource team will interview each consultant.   During and after the interview is conducted, the team will see what opportunities fit our consultant’s preferences.  A MindSource resource manager will reach out to the consultant to let them know which engagements fit their unique skills and their requirements, and then our team will consult with them to get them in front of the decision makers for the engagements that interest them.

Onsite Interview

Once the key decision makers decide that our consultants fit their needs, the consultant will be scheduled for an onsite interview.


Once the decision makers interview the consultants, they will decide on which resources fit their technical projects.  We extend the offers on behalf of our clients and discuss the opportunities and employment modes with each consultant to find the best fit.  As this process starts, a MindSource project manager will start the on-boarding process, conducting background checks on each consultant.

Acceptance & Assignment

Once a consultant has decided to move forward with one of our clients’ engagements, a MindSource project manager will guide the consultant through the onboarding process through MindSource and onsite at the client.  This includes and is not limited to payrolling, benefits for W2 consultants, issuing equipment and setting up the consultant’s IT, gaining access to the client’s site and developing and planning the engagement’s scope.   Throughout the consultant’s assignment, a team of the consultant’s recruiter, account manager and project manager will periodically check in and receive status reports from both the consultant and the client to make sure that the project is on time and on budget.

Wrap Up

Once the first Statement of Work is completed, the MindSource team works with the client and the consultant to determine the next stage in the project. Often, this means the engagement moves on to the next stage and the consultant is retained on the project for another set of deliverables.  On average, MindSource consultants are on assignment for 10 months. However, if the project’s scope is deemed completed by the client, the consultant, the client, and the MindSource team will go through the debriefing process, facilitating the necessary transfer of knowledge and documentation that needs to occur. The MindSource team will then work with the consultant once again to find their next assignment.

Consultant & Team On-boarding

The onboarding process for consultants is similar to the above W2 description; however, MindSource will receive an invoice from the consultant corporation. That invoices is paid in the manner outlined in the contract. Project engagement center around specific deliverables specified in the Statement of Work, which includes the review and change order processes.
