Job Title: Electrical Validation Engineer
Location: Cupertino, CA
Duration: 1 Year
Key Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Electrical measurements and characterization.
  • Extensive experience in signal integrity characterization such as TDR, Insertion loss, Return loss, transient voltage, for flex and substrate. 
  • Good understanding of fundamentals of material electrical characteristics, cross talk effects, transmission line theory and EMC.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical measurement equipment and instrumentation.
  • Understanding of the fixture impact to the measurement error and measurement quality
  • Excellent process development and documentation skills. Must be extremely accurate and diligent in measurements and record keeping.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting language for measurement automation and data analysis.
  • Able to correlate design SI/PI simulation with measurement results.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and tackle performance problems.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills to finish the challenging tasks & projects.

Job Description: 

  • Characterize electrical performance of prototype hardware.  
  • Conduct SI/PI characterization, data analysis and provide feedback to design team.
  • Collaborate with camera EE test, design engineer and reliability engineer to define validation plan and create test cases for full product validation with emphasis at the electrical level.
  • Debug EE issues, including power quality, high-speed signal integrity and control interface performance.
  • Interact with cross functional teams for in-system performance, problem root causing and solution implementation.

Additional Requirements: 

  • Experience with FPGA boards for EE validation testing
  • Familiar with test automation
  • Hands on with test tool setup (manual probe) and socket/fixture design for high speed

BS/MS in a relevant field (EE)
