Title: Senior Data Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, CA – onsite
Duration: 1-year contract with possibility of extension

Required Skills:
– At least 5 years of experience
– Strong data analytics and data statistics skill
– Data modeling and machine learning experience
– Very comfortable working with R programming language experience
– Tableau, Python and SQL are a plus
– If the candidate has a PhD, at least 3 years of post-PhD exp. is must
– With badge/censored data, optical and Wi-Fi data exp. is preferred

Main Purpose of the Position
The Real Estate & Workplace Effectiveness (RE & WE), Workplace Digital Insights – Analytics (WDI-A) Data Scientist will report to the Director of Workplace Digital Insights – Analytics.

This role presents a unique opportunity to apply data science to help build the workplace of the future and help understand how well groups are doing in their work environments. Analyses will inform the design of the Physical Work Environment, Social Agreements and Technology (e.g. advanced sensor technologies / IoT) so employees can be at their best when serving patients.

The ideal candidate has experience applying data science to impact business outcomes, and enjoys pushing the boundaries to innovate.

You will conduct analyses utilizing a variety of statistical methods, build automated reports, and merge various data sources for analysis. These will support Real Estate & Workplace.
Effectiveness making evidence based business decisions that ensure employee productivity and well-being as well as operational efficiency.

Working with senior decision-makers in the company, your contributions will have a high level of visibility, and will enable our team to have a profound impact on the global organization.

Impact of decisions will contribute to Site Services determining how to shape ***B+ worth of capital by 2025.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Leverage data to Client patterns and solve strategic analytic business problems
Execute sophisticated analyses that result in actionable recommendations
Collaborate with subject matter experts across RE & WE and the business
Contribute to data integrity and data forensics efforts
Define requirements and work with local and global Informatics (IT) to extend and maintain the Site Services Analytics platform
Design and implement self-service reporting tools (e.g. R-Shiny, Tableau)
Identify opportunities to further build out our IoT strategy
Work independent as well as collaborating with other team members

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
(Minimum requirements)

Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Psychology, Statistics, or related technical field or equivalent experience
Business Experience 5+ years of experience in data related fields – experience with research programs that seek practical/predictive (rather than only statistical) significance is particularly valued
Experience working with large, complex data systems to aggregate, organize, and prepare data for use in business analysis
Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis to drive insights from data
Demonstrated experience in bridging business requirements and technical development
Strong background in statistical programming (preferably R, with Python as a plus) and data-oriented scripting (e.g. SQL) and
Classical statistics
