Technical Project Manager
Cupertino, CA
12 months contract with possibility of extension

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to plan and execute a series of AC Wellness IT Projects. Individuals in this role must possess both a high level of technical expertise and the capabilities required for all project managers; excellent organization, leadership and communication skills.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership our projects and elevate our performance, by establishing well-defined goals, anticipating interdependencies and risks, managing to budget and timelines, solving problems and generally creating order out of chaos.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of AWS EC2 and Kubernetes clusters as well as S3, SQL DB and other AWS or Cloud Services
  • Experienced working in a security first environment with HIPAA or PII level role restrictions and deployment practices.
  • Understanding of logging platforms like Splunk.
  • Deployment experience for SSO providers such as JumpCloud, Okta, or Auth0
  • Knowledge of backup systems such as Druva inSync or CrashPlan.
  • Experience with cloud based and/or on-prem e-mail and file encryption services
  • Familiarity with network hardware, telecommunications/VOIP and connectivity concepts.
  • Knowledge of SSL certificates.
  • Working knowledge of communication, project, and workstream management tools such as Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow and/or Slack.
  • Knowledge of Wrike Project Management application
  • Knowledge of Quip, Keynote, etc.


  • The candidate must be able to work effectively with multiple teams cross functionally. Must be able to manage projects to completion, adhere to project timelines and deliverables. The successful candidate will be someone who is a problem solver, has a customer service attitude, able to wear several hats as needed and not afraid to operate outside of his/her comfort zone.
  • TPMs should be able to discuss high-level systems architecture, communicate effectively with engineers, and drive infrastructure implementation processes and testing strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Produce project plans, roadmaps, and documentation to support project efforts
  • Monitor status and manage stakeholder expectations. Manage communications.
  • Run standup, workgroup, and client meetings
  • Identify action items and risks; address blockers to keep projects on track
  • Manage scope – keep projects focused on leadership objectives.
  • Manage project to budget and timelines.
  • Manage testing and quality. Ensure deliverables are reliable, perform desired function and are free from defects.
  • Help teams with project and task time estimation.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years' experience as a technical project manager or similar role.
  • A professional project management certification preferred (e.g. PMP, Scrum Alliance etc.)
