Job Title: Electronics Lab Technician/EE Technician
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 11 months contract with possible of extension
Job Description:
You will be a part of the display engineering team and will help in bring-up of prototypes and hands-on measurements on electrical and optical stations. You will also be responsible for maintaining part of the electronic lab with required equipment and supplies. We are looking for an experienced EE technician with excellent debugging skill, hands-on with oscilloscopes/meters, high resolution cameras, and photodiodes.
Responsibilities
Assist engineers in hands-on measurement of electrical scopes and high resolution camera
Assist engineers in photodiode measurement across various operating point and temperature
Able to navigate PCB layout files and identify measurement points and debugging if necessary.
Analyze data in excel/numbers, and post-process in MATLAB (script is provided), and present data in clear manner.
Plan and maintain lab facilities for optimal efficiency.
Champion safety, security and quality.
Organize and maintain stock of critical components for rapid prototyping.
Manage multiple demanding deadlines. Be able to work across multiple teams to get things done.
Key Qualifications
5+ years of related experience in small engineering labs.
Excellent debugging, optimization and problem solving skills.
HW testing and validation with camera is a plus
HW testing and validation with oscilloscope and power measurement equipment is a plus.
Basic understanding of analog/digital circuits.
Ability to work with schematics, and PCB layouts is a plus.
Comfortable with working on OSX based computers.
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python/Perl/MATLAB is a plus.
Passion, diligence, integrity, and exceptional aptitude.
Team player with excellent conversational and written communication, and negotiation skills.
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or relevant experience in lieu of.
