Technician IV (Analog IP Lab Technician)

Job Title: Electronics Lab Technician
Location: Cupertino, CA
Duration: 8 month contract with possibility of extensions.
Pay Range: $44 to $49 Hourly

You will provide operational support for an analog and mixed signal characterization lab, such as building test benches/stations, assisting engineers by running existing scripts and collecting data, re-working the test PCB board.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
8+ years experience as an electronic lab technician in semiconductor test lab environment
Experience in using lab test equipment such as Oscilloscope and DMMs
Experience configuring thermal stations, test system, and lab networks
Experience working with validation engineers setting up test benches
Ability to assemble mechanical fixtures, electronic connectors and fixtures
Able to read schematics
Able to solder board components and perform board reworks, especially with fine pitched components
Proficient computer skills and able to run diagnostic software and test scripts. Ability to understand and modify Python, TCL, and shell scripts is a plus
Able to work well in a team and be productive under challenging schedules
Strong initiative and ownership of responsibilities, well organized
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift lab instruments like multimeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers (50lb)
Ability to move or assist moving lab instruments like oscilloscopes, VNA (75lb)
Knowledge and experience in the use of RF and electronic test equipment: multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meter, power supplies, oscilloscopes
Hands-on experience in integration i.e. mechanical assembly, cable routing & termination, soldering etc.
Ability to orally present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and other employees
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Be able to maintain regular and punctual attendance and maintain positive interaction with other individual.
