Job Title: Human Factors Researcher
Location: Cupertino, CA – Onsite to start then Hybrid
Duration: 8 months contract with possibility of extension
Pay rate: $56-61/hr on W2 + Mindsource benefits

Summary
The Engineering LiveOn Team is seeking a research technician to assign assist with design, develop and execute programs that enable unreleased products to be lived on by employees outside of labs, networks and campuses. The goal of the program is to generate qualitative as well as quantitative data to improve the overall customer experience.

Ability to graphically visualize concepts, conclusions and insights
Experience in a variety of technical data capture methodologies
Energetic and responsive collaborator with excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Extreme attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, hands-on, creative environment
Enthusiasm for utilizing a diverse set of approaches to creative problem solving
Understanding of consumer electronics and customer usage

Description
An ideal candidate has fluency across disciplines related to product design and the customer experience, though focused expertise in one area is also welcome. They readily move between minute details and big ideas. Comfortable in any environment, their presence reassures others and solicits unfiltered feedback. They are technical, but also extremely intuitive and empathetic, capable of expressing objective evidence through compelling storytelling, championing an improved product experience for people at every turn.

Some responsibilities include:
Assist in developing and conducting user-centered research to inform or validate product performance.
Conduct technical data collections and analyses of qualitative and quantitative data.
Provide visually-focused clear and concise analytical feedback, informed by experimental data.
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, quality, marketing and a wide range of other groups.
Effectively prioritize and fluidly transition between a wide range of concurrent projects.

Education
BS/MS in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Human-Computer Interaction or similarly relevant field

In lieu of professional degrees 10+ years experience in relevant fields Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods and subsequent analysis
